Mark believes that good general business management requires the application of common sense, the motivation of people and the encouragement of teamwork. Mark has worked for leading print managers Forms UK plc for ten years, the last five of which as Group M.D. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, Birmingham, Mark went on to run his own practice specializing in owner managed businesses. Mark is an active contributor to the local community, having been a CBI councillor and organising events for charity. He has two boys and now lives just outside Belbroughton in Worcestershire.
Roy Irish:
Roy is firmly committed to the principle of managing to cash as well as to profit. Originally trained with Price Waterhouse, he left the profession to move to the computer industry where he worked both the sales and manufacturing and developed a wide range of financial management skills. In 1990, Roy came to the Midlands to be financial director in an FMCG group, which later went through an MBO of which he was part. The last six years have seen him assist a number of companies in raising finance and managing early stage cash flows. Roy lives near Kidderminster in Worcestershire with his wife and four children.
